It's been almost one week since the shooting claimed the lives of three people. One of the victims is 24-year-old Azir Harris.

Philadelphia July 4th weekend marred by violence as gunfire erupted in Grays Ferry, killing three people and injuring nine others while over 40 people were gathered in the area.

Bridge deck repairs on the Schuylkill Expressway have closed a portion of the westbound highway in University City, PennDOT announced. The repairs were expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday morning.

Local traffic will be directed to exit I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) at 34th Street, turn right onto Grays Ferry Avenue, turn right onto Washington Avenue, turn left onto 22nd Street, turn left onto Walnut Street, and turn right onto Schuylkill Avenue to access the ramp to I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway).

We catch glimpses of kindness in the everyday actions of community heroes, in families spending time with their children. But we don’t see it in the news.
