Rapid growth on the South Rim fire in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park forced immediate evacuations in Montrose County on Saturday afternoon.

Fire crews are actively working to contain multiple wildfires, including one near the South Rim Fire in Gunnison National Park, which has burned over 3,500 acres. Governor Polis has declared a statewide disaster for additional resources.
