The West Virginia Board of Education elected new leaders during a meeting in Charleston on Wednesday.Paul Hardesty was voted in as president, bringing more than three decades of public service experience to the board.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Paul Hardesty has been appointed to serve as the president of the state Board of Education. During the board’s monthly meeting Wednesday, board president Nancy White announced she would not seek re-election. She said serving in the role was a true honor.
