The death toll in the deadly central Texas floods has reached at least 129 as of Friday night, according to the latest numbers out of Travis County.

The Texas flood smashed through buildings, carried away cars and ripped sturdy trees out by the roots, dropping the debris in twisted piles when the water finally ebbed.
