Jannik Sinner has defeated two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to win his first Wimbledon championship.

In June, Sinner and Alcaraz delivered one of the most enthralling Grand Slam finals in tennis history after the Spaniard came back from two sets down - saved three consecutive championship points in the fourth set while 3-5 down - before completing an unbelievable 4-6 6-7 (4) 6-4 7-6 (3) 7-6 (2) comeback in five hours and 29 minutes.
