LAS VEGAS -- As the Philadelphia 76ers continue with the summer league, they hope to eventually bring back rookie VJ Edgecombe into the fold. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2025 NBA draft had a fantastic summer league debut on July 5 in Utah, but has since missed the last three games with a left thumb sprain.
In the latest clip of ‘Podcast P,’ the nine-time All-Star analyzed Edgecombe’s debut performance in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
The 19-year-old poured in a game-high 28 points on 13 of 27 shooting, hauled in 10 rebounds, dished out four assists, made two blocks and had just two turnovers. While Edgecombe struggled from beyond the arc (1 of 7) and from the charity stripe (1 of 3), it won't take away from the fact that his Summer League debut was a resounding success.
